I recently swapped my 20" threaded with a new 24" threaded, put some rocksett on the thread protector. From what I've read is if you soak it in water for a time you should be able to get it off without marring the finish with a wrench. If time comes where I'm told not good enough I already have...
I ordered a barrel from EABCO a couple days ago and got a call from them today asking if I had friends or relatives in another state that they could send it to because they can't send a threaded (muzzle) barrel to NY, so sent to brother in Ohio then here for me.
If I saw 30-30 ammo at that price and needed or wanted it I would buy it, you may not see it again anytime soon. I reload for all my centerfire rifles and even with high prices you have to buy while you can because so many are looking for the same items.
Mine are fixed mag (5 round top loader) used for target shooting and hunting. Both mine are 20" one with muzzle brake, the other unthreaded. Both have fixed stock. 223/5.56 and 224 Valkyrie
I have a rem 700 adl wood stock in 7mag, very good condition. Think it was made in 83. $700
Also have the same rifle in 270wiin, think it was made in 76 $650
