We're heading to the Cattaraugus fair for the monster truck show. Has anyone ever been to this fair? Do they run you through security for the general fair area? What about the stands for the show? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks man. I'll remember that for the Erie county FairI go to the Erie county fair every year. I bring my gun. My wife brings a purse the search her and I stand on the other side of the gate laughing because she has nothing and I have my pistol, my knife, and 2 spar mags.
Sorry I know nothing of the CCF.

Not usually a fan of red heads , but God daaaaaamn she’s sexy !you need to get her gun out of the purse LOL ..
I need to get her to get a permit or even think about carrying one. She won’t.you need to get her gun out of the purse LOL ..
Well based on current events.. I would for sure be wanting to carry ar a fair
Hell, I carry everywhere, everyday. The only place I don't carry is in the County Courthouse (Sheriff's office, local PD, courts, and clerk's offices all in there!!), other than that,.... I'm armed!!!
I was just telling Mrs. MO yesterday (before we even heard about the El Paso murders!!), that the reason I carry the cane I do, is because it was custom made, and has a heavy 1940's doorknob on the head. I told her between that, and the fact that I ALWAYS carry a gun, that being "old" doesn't mean I have to be a victim. I pity the poor motherfucker that 'tries' to take advantage of 'Ol MO'!!
Just got back from the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen. First checkpoint was a body wanding with my loaded backpack on the ground. No bag check. Next was a bag check. I opened all the compartments and they just spread the zippers open a few inches and that was it. I could've brought just about anything in there. Makes people feel secure I guess.

I have not seen one place around here(Southern WNY) with a "gun free zone" sign. Even our Panera Bread has no sign.
Our local Walmart has a sign that says "guns allowed with proper licencing".
I go nowhere without a gun.
When I go to the PP office in the county building, I leave my gun in the truck with a 170 pound doggy.

is that a ceramic/porcelain door knob from the old days ? i have 4 of them that i made as a coat rack on the wall ...
Its safer in the truck.F THAT have them lock that up for you
Its safer in the truck.
Im not even sure they have any place to lock up.

Not many guys would try to open the door of my truck. My dog is extremly protective. They tried to tell me they didnt at both my DMV and Pistol permit office and that I need to go lock it back in my car.
The look on their face of wait ohhh when I asked how safe they thought it would be for me to lock a loaded handgun in a car 40ft away from the county jail on visitation day

I do have a mounted safe in my truck but if the dog is with me, I dont bother with the safe.
It was my first NASCAR race and it was great. I've been to the Indy races there tons of times. I was dumbfounded when we left, that we were at cruising speed within 5 minutes of leaving the track. For Indy, you're easily at walking pace for 45 minutes after leaving... And there's 3 times as many people for NASCAR. I can't explain it.Damn you braved watkins?. How was it?
Easily. As it was, I had my 43 in a lockbox in the truck as my wife went into town during the race.Shit sounds like one of those EDC bags where the back panel can carry a gun would have worked perfect at Watkins
