During all of 2020 and 2021, I was liberating primers from Canada. I used to deliver to a gun shop up there, and every time I did, I would purchase 1 or 2 cases of primers. I would smuggle them back into the US and supply my friends. Some of them I would sell for a reasonable profit. I...
I have had no issues at all receiving components of any kind.
Shipping ammo from yourself to yourself is very different than purchasing it from a company such as Buds or Target Sports or Graf's. None of the companies that I used to purchase from on a regular basis wanted to do business with...
Hey, Kathy Hochul : SUCK IT !!!
I wanted to place an order for some ammunition and have it shipped to my co-worker in Pennsylvania. What I found out was, no companies would do that because my credit card has a NY billing address. Asking my co-worker to place the order on his credit card was a...
I used to love the fanny pack holster. Everyone had a fannypack, so wearing one didn't look out of place. I honestly wish they would come back into style.
No, they're not the same. The density of a lead core jacketed bullet is higher than a solid copper bullet. Therefore, a solid copper bullet of the same weight and diameter would have to be longer in length. The longer bearing surface against the bore creates added pressure. Barnes...
Why don't they try that shit on this side of the state ? Why does the eastern side always get to have all the fun ? I put a lot of effort into buying just the right backhoe, and I never get to use it !
I recommend picking up the data from the various powder manufacturers. The one for Western powders is free, and covers all their products from Ramshot and Accurate. Hodgdon offers a data magazine ( +/- $10 ) every year, and it covers all of the Hodgdon, IMR, and Winchester powders. Alliant...
I can't really speak to the topic per se, but what I will say is that I much prefer the old carry handles - the ones you could actually get your fingers inside. The new sized ones that match up to an "F" marked front sight are just too skinny to get your hand inside, especially if you're...
I have a SneakyPete for my Seecamp. When I have to dress up and can't carry my usual gun, I put the Seecamp in the SneakyPete andcarry that. Only people that know what a SneakyPete holster is will recognize it as a holster. I wish it didn't have the SP embossed into the leather, but for...
Ok, here's the update: I took the two uppers to the range with a lower from a completely different gun. Both of the uppers ran every ammunition I fed them, although one particular load was finicky in both. The newer upper had a couple hiccups, but I subscribe them to the VERY stiff bolt...
I have an AR that has had problems with the bolt going fully into battery. At that point, the bolt gets stuck and is very hard to open. I always thought it was a very tight chamber causing the problem.
I replaced the entire upper with a new one from a different manufacturer. Taking it to...
You are correct. Smokeless powder is a propellent. However, for transportation and storage purposes, above a certain quantity it is classified as an explosive. This proposal would change that stored amount requiring reporting to "Any amount".
I seriously doubt that NYS will come up with a scheme to put a tax stamp on boxes of ammo like cigarettes have. Further, I doubt that NYS has anyone working for the State that is intelligent enough to roll out an operation of this magnitude.
What about all the millions of boxes of ammunition...
The big difference between those and the standard CCI 400 small rifle primers is that the cup is harder in order to prevent slamfires. Your biggest problem would be misfires caused by a light primer strike. If that's not going to be an issue, use them.
Somewhere I have a thing written...
Not sure where you intend to hunt, but make sure you read the DEC hunting regulations and understand them. Certain areas are limited to using LESS THAN .22 caliber centerfire rifles while ANY big game season is open. So, .204 and .17 caliber centerfire is good to go, but .22 and larger is not.
Don't pass over a Colt Woodsman if you find one. They're well made, accurate, and comfortable to shoot. The price may be a bit steep compared to other pistols, but the resale value is high as well.
A friend of mine has a Riton red dot sight as well as a 1-8 rifle scope. He says they're not bad. They're no Leupold, but they're usable products.
I have a Leupold rangefinder that is small, light, accurate, and damn expensive.
I got a head start on the season this morning. On rt 219 right at the NY / PA State line, I whacked a coyote with the big truck. As far as I'm concerned, it counts toward this year's total !
If I can get the boss to send me the dashcam footage, I'll post it. It was more of an accident that...
Riton makes some inexpensive products. I can't vouch for their quality because I don't have any of their items, but I would bet they're better tens NCStar or Sightmark !
I have several ( 4 I think, maybe 5 ) garage door remotes for a Genie garage door opener. They all work. They use the Intellicode system and can easily be programmed to work with your Genie garage door opener.
Who needs these ? Buffalo area
I have not, nor will I buy another round of ammunition in this F■■■ed - up State since this bullshit started. I'm sorry to those dealers that I no longer give my business to, but I will happily buy reloading components from you. At least until this horseshit starts being applied to them too...
Ok, you're not going to believe this....I didn't believe it until I watched it happening. The tracks shown in the pictures above are made by a BEETLE ! These large copper color beetles only live for a couple weeks according to a local resident. I watched today as one of these beetles flew...
Ok, I think I'm pretty good at identifying prints and tracks, especially if I can study them. But, this is new to me. I found these tracks at the place I deliver to. They make manmade stone products. The tracks were in the soft sand which is dust consistancy. One picture has a dollar...
