In general increasing speed limits lead to a reduction in accidents. This is due to less congestion and a narrowed speed differential amongst traffic
I think the official speed limit on intestate highways and controlled access US and State routes outside built up areas should be 80. That what...
I am wanting to EDC an Izula in an IWB sheath. However unplanned expenses keep popping up to delay my purchase. My truck GPS shitting the bed being the most recent fly in the ointment.
Tonight I am back to shoulder carry. Just got a loose fitting, heavyweight Carhartt hoodie so I am still carrying the Glock 19, just in the Galco Miami Classic shoulder rig. Even under the hoodie I van still make out the the bulge but I doubt anyone else would even notice. I'm not going to be...
Well, overnight technically, last night by the tine most of you will be reading this.
I was out running errands when I got my dispatch for the night so I decided to head direct to work as opposed to heading home to switch to my preferred method of carry whichbis in a shoulder holster.
I really...
Nothing new. Surfire marketed a quad stack magazine (it didn't work very well) Schmeisser, the company with the rights to that name anyways, offers a polymer quad stack (it doesn't work very well) and these types of magazines have seen intermittent use going back to the early days of...
It's not. People die all day, every day of violence. World wide. It is a fact of life.
That was only three people. That many and more will die in excruciating pain in grisly industrial accidents today
Incidentally, between the the Gen 5 Glock, Walther PPQ and the Sig P320 I like the P320 trigger the best. Shoots flat, has a good amount of mass, it's smooth..... It's become my go to range pistol, therfore I'm setting it up as a range optimized tool. I've become quite fond of it in fact.
Specifically, from an esthetic point, which do you prefer?
I am thinking of getting a new black grip module for my P320 Full Size. The one I have is dark grey and while the subtle two tone look is alright I am going to add a magwell and gas pedal as well. I don't like the look of contrasting...
This is why plates suck and direct mount is best. I wish all these half ass plate mounts would fucking go away, or at least for manufacturers to offer non-cut slides so the customer has the option to have it custom milled. I fucking hate it when the youtube idiots bitch about non "Optics...
Ruger must he able to read my mind. I was very interested in the SFAR but wasn't impressed by the 4140 alloy barrel, that kind of cheaping out makes me suspicious as to what other corners are being cut. And then I thought it was a shame the SFAR barrel was proprietary as I figured a Proof...
Mungo want gun........... Mungo get purse. Mungo need hide new gun........ if Mungo wife see........she asks where Mungo gun is..........then she take Mungo gun.
Waiting for a proper technical analysis of the action. Right now we just have shills regurgitating ad copy in regards to this thing. I'd like to see Ian McColum give us the breakdown then over to Paul Harrel for the reality check.
I don't want to doubt anyone's service record but this does point to the simple fact that just being a veteran doesn't make you right.
Same for that medal of honor recipients what made statements against private citizens with guns and tactical gear. Guy was a legitimate hero and was also wrong...
They are a fantastically good lookin' gun. There have been various issues with them, issues with the hand in particular, and attendant claims that said issues have been resolved. It's normal for any new model to have teething issues upon release and none of the problems seemed to be inherent...
McCarthy is a miserable RINOcon turd. HOWEVER the holdouts actually achieved their goals, McCarthy had to agree to numerous concessions which have effectively neutered him.
Since McCarthy as speaker of the house was an inevitability I see this as a big win.
In particular the Republicans...
1911 in .45 (if I want a 9mm I'll get a Sig, CZ or Berretta) most likely a Colt Competiton model.
Some kind of .357 revolver. I have been wanting an S&W 686 but the scarcity of that model and reports of dodgy QC on the new ones has me considering the more plebian Ruger GP 100.
a .357 lever...
My choice is very boring:
Glock 19. It's light, simple, concealable yet big enough to serve as a first line duty tool.
I shoot it well and I know how to completely detail strip it for maintenance and repair.
DeSantis Speed Scabard is a good quality holster at a reasonable price. I have one for my PPQ and I find that when I use the lower slot for the more extreme cant, when worn at 4 o'clock. It stays very tight to the body and gives a natural and speedy draw. It does sit somewhat low on tge belt...
Well, I already have a Glock 19 and a P320. Just have new gun syndrome I guess. Been looking at that ZEV OZ9. Icarus Precision is releasing an aluminum grip frame for it and it looks really freaking cool.
Man, I dry fire the bejeezus out of my guns. I often sit down in front of the TV and absent mindedly dry fire for an hour straight.
I have a Glock 19 and a P320 full size already. Sometimes a gun just catches my interest is all, you know how it is.
I've noticed that this gun gets a lot of positive opinions. Who has one how do you like it? Is it worth getting a 509 over a Glock or P320?
Or should I get that CZ P-01 I've had my eye one?
Intended use is as defensive gun with a smooth, flat recoil impulse.
I should mention that over the last...
I'm with you on that one. It's logical for the yearly challenge to occur at the end of the year yet also inconvenient.
However as I was told in the Army:
@dsdmmat is fuckin' this dog, I'm jus' holdin' the tail.
If we had leadership that had any savvy as opposed to a puppet regime of incompetents we would woo India away from BRICS and into our sphere. India is a latent world power and would make a very strong ally against China.
No, just much speculation on both sides.
As far as I'm concerned the pistol brace thing is either a band aid or purely academic. What we need to be going after full on is the NFA as a whole. With recent legislation in Texas and now Tennessee the ground work is being laid already. The NFA has...
Way it seems to go for me is if they have inventory I haven't the money for it, when I do, they don't.
I haven't the money ATM, or any time soon, nor am I really in the market for a weapon light right now. I'd like an MCH with this light head someday though.
Oh fuck that. I'm not a communist, this isn't the Soviet Union. I don't wait in queues, I don't watch for product notifications or otherwise inconvenience myself in the slightest when it comes to purchasing products. If you don't have inventory when I have money for a purchase I will do...
