Is it an optical illusion or is that front sight thin? I prefer the fat ones. The thin ones are more difficult to see any side to side shift in aim. (The fat ones fill the gap. So if you are holding a bit to one side the sight is no loner between the rear openings )

The 590a1 is a different shotgun. It has a pistol grip. PG shotguns with no stocks suck. They are painful to shoot. The shockwave is totally different and is very comfortable to use.
