i think your issue is the rifling of the pistol barrel, while im sure you can change the powder charge to get velocity with a lighter/longer projectile idk if a printed projectile will withstand the spin along with the direct exposure to powder. Shotgun isnt a problem with its lower pressure...

Weird, i never had an issues with my CCI primers, i have been using winchesters lately as I got a good deal and they def seem softer so i would think it was a light strike on the CCIs rather then a primer issue but u never know
