Me and the wife have shored up our short term preps and are now looking to advance to some more long term food storage. I have watched a few videos and read a few things about storing rice, flour and beans in sealed up 5 gallon pails. Is this a good start to some longer preps? Basically what I...
Everything is coming along now. The onions I think are going to be a bust. I might just keep them in the ground and see if they take next year. The peppers are catching up but still have a ways to go. The tomatoes seem to be the star and are coming along very nicely.
That's fine it's your vote and your right to vote how you see fit. I can tell you it will be the first time I have ever reached across the isle. These politicians need to be held accountable for their actions and his was enough that I will vote for whoever is running against him.
I listened to him on the radio after he cast his vote and the garbage spewed from his mouth was appalling. Now he's actively trying to back track so he can get reelected. Let a radical Dem take the helm for a cycle then we will easily get a true conservative back in there.
I would say at that point it's not about price but application. 5 gallon cans can be filled & dispensed easier. But storing in bulk is usually cheaper.
If you can find a decent 50 gallon drum would be about the cheapest route. I think harbor freight make a hand pump for cheap. I think TSC sell actual tanks made for that application, but are probably more expensive. You need to consider how you plan on filling them. Most oil delivery companies...
Well my tomatoes are making a speedy come back. Some of my pepper plants are starting to make a come back also. We need a few day of sunshine to really see them come back. My onions appear to be a huge flop. I might not harvest them in the fall and see if the keep through the winter. Maybe fill...
I was leaning towards 223 just for ammo availability. Dad runs a 22-250 in an old Remington 700. That gun is such a tack driver it's almost not fair. I don't know much about the 224 Valkyr, that might be a contender also. I still might take the dive into air rifles sometime soon though.
LOL What and idea! That would be a great protest releasing wood chucks at the NYS capital building!
As far as cooking them..... well been there done that. They don't have much meat on their bones and we marinated the shit out of it so all you could taste was the marinade. It did feel like you...
I'm in a similar boat to you. I started my seeds in the basement. About the time they should have went in the ground I went on a family trip to FL. When I got home the wife made me put together the kids new swing set before I could mess with the garden. That took 2 full weekends, absolute...
We are looking into home schooling now. The wife is in favor I am not. I don't believe the kids get socialized properly and have a harder time later in life even though they are properly educated. I have seen this play out in the military, college and now the work force. With that said is that...
I think I'm even more worked up now than yesterday! FUAC! I barely wore a mask through this whole deal so it didn't really effect me. I know I lost standing at work (and probably a decent chunk of change in bonuses) because I refused to wear a mask and take the shot! That all barely gets me...
It's already hard, built a new house on family land and have growing syrup business with my father. If we do make the jump there will be hard feelings at best.
I also have a huge grievance with common core math. Maybe it's my profession but the new math will cripple this generation to do higher level math. I will have to look into what math curriculum the local private school teaches to.
This I full hardley agree with. The problem is we still live to good of a life style. Our belly's are full, we have heat, electricity, entertainment and the belief our kids will have a better future than us. Until that changes the American population will continue to decline until it's too late...
We have been kicking around the option of home schooling. I have no urge to go that route, but it might be needed to buy use some breathing room. Looks like they will be forcing the private schools to get the jab and that's a no go for us. Too bad I was ready to spend the money and live in...
The schools have no say their hands are bound by the tyrant and lets face it the legislature can bend over fast enough to lick his boots. I don't look at it as giving up the fight rather bolstering the resistance and not funding the tyranny.
We have been. We are starting to believe its a lost cause. Might flee NY for a better future for our kids. Our oldest in Kindergarten and we have 2 more behind him.
30"x8' Leader max flue traditional evaporator. Bought in 2009.
Comes with. Auto draw off, spare front pan, preheater, rear hood, blower.
In really good shape. The only defect is the crack on the front casting. The current front pan only has 1 season on it.
Boils and works great. The only...
I get where you are coming from but they will see it as a new cash cow. They will use this as fear for many industries to bolster their lobbying incomes. So as soon as one industry doesn't pay up enough they will do the same thing to them.
Well to my surprise most of the 2 year old seeds germinated. So I will have a surplus of plants this season. I planted 2 planters of lettuce. One that is mix variety and one romaine. I have 2 more planters, but come to find out they don't fix over my railing. So I will give those to the mother...
Ok review time! Please remember I'm not a knife person, so it's guaranteed I will butcher terminology and basic knife etiquette.
I got a chance to sit down and sharpen my edc pock knife(Benchmade rift).
Because this knife has a weird backstrap I was sure how well it would clamp into the...
One video mentioned about being able to fasten it to a bench. I did not look close enough to see if it has mounting points. If it did it wouldn't be difficult to mount it to a board/bench. Because of how the base is flare/tapered I doubt you would be able to clamp it to anything.
If your...
Seems to be some sort of plastic maybe composite. I really have to admit it's not the cheap plastic/composite. It has a nice weight and feel to it. I did see videos with larger knives wanted to tip the thing over. The theme I did see online was people are holing onto the base and rotating it as...
Ya I heard that on the radio also. I'm just joking around there is zero urge to grow any weed. I was talking with some coworkers and we all were wondering if hobby farming was possible and if profitable. I don't know if you can do bulk sales to distribution/THC companies? If not it wouldn't be...
