I started to think that could be possible. I put the recoil spring assembly in but left the barrel out before putting the slide on. There was no resistance or binding up. It was late though so I didn’t go any further investigating.

I just ordered 13, 12, 11 pound recoil springs. I do recall one person making a comment on the Girsan forum that the Turkish guns like hotter NATO loads. Hopefully with that assortment of spring weights, I'll be able to fine-tune the firearm for the 115gr stuff I have accumulated.
