Bullet profile has THE MOST to do with the venerable "kerplunk" test, believe me, I have first hand knowledge of this. But I doubt at 115gr lead RN, it's profile. Try putting a crimp at correct OAL.
While I prefer Benchmades these days, I miss my PM2 Blackout. Carried small for it's size, super smooth action, RAZOR sharp! More so than any Benchmade I own!

I don't use powder coated bullets, but sounds like a bullet profile issue, which is unheard of with 115gr bullets. Try seating some lead, or copper plated bullets, could be the powder coating.
Congrats, GREAT press! The only chink in the 550's armor, is the priming system. If you have hang ups, that's where it will be. Stick with Federal primers, me and a buddy who also has a 550, learned to stay away from Winchester primers the hard way. Don't try and rush the process, you'll be...
