I was testing my new build with my new Go No-Go gauges and I lost the ejector spring.
Can anyone do me a solid and drop one in the mail if you have an extra and I will return the favor with whatever I can. I was hoping to go shoot the end of the week and don't want to wait for an online order.
This is it in it's final form sans the Primary Arms 1-6 ACSS scope I have to install. Still waiting for the blue locktite to dry.
I used an Aero Precision upper, Ballistic Advantage non threaded barrel, Raptor charging handle and Seekins NOXs handguard I have around $950 in it as I already have...
If you are referring to the bolt carrier being different vs a standard AR, you can use any upper and bolt and the SCR proprietary bolt carrier and you are good to go.
I picked up my Monte Carlo lower two hours ago. I am impressed. Waiting for my upper parts and bolt catch to show up in the mail, but I snagged mine from Brownells with the 11% off coupon. I can’t wait to build this one.
Had not thought about one of these lowers in a while but am now interested again as my son is now 18 and would enjoy it. Are there any local dealers in Westchester that sell the Monte Carlo lowers? I have seen some online but would rather see one in person before buying it.
Found a good deal...
I just contacted them yesterday and they would not touch my 1911 because the slide was not chromed by them. Luckily there are plenty of other smiths that offer more services!
I am looking for a snub revolver for my first wheel gun. I am torn between the lightweight M&P340 and the Kimber K6S. The Kimber seems to have all my needs covered including 6 shots, 3 dot sights and enough heft for .357, but this is a carry gun and will not see much range time. My purpose of...
Here is mine after an in-depth cleaning and two coats of tung oil finish over the couple of slight dings or discoloration. Turned a slight orange hue but what I was after.
Do I wax it after the 24 hour cure, or just let it weep whatever cosmoline is left?
From what I have been reading, BXN whatever that means, are supposed to be good. I have seen BXN-xx models. idk the difference but I will scan around until I can find some.
My new Yugo SKS is all cleaned up and the stock is drying. Where can I find some surplus stripper clips in the Westchester area? I assume Collector would have them but I don't have the time to drive 45 minutes north.
I have the cosmoline stripped from everything except the barreled action. That will be tomorrow. I used mineral spirits on everything. Just curious what I can "wipe down" the wood with or should I just let it air dry to get rid of the smell.
I just picked mine up. Prominus was not lying. It looks like it came right from the factory. I know what everything else is, except what looks like a cigar container. I am way too happy right now but only enough time to throw it in the safe.
I am not passing it up. I don't mind paying a little extra over something of unknown condition. Luckily, I can have an AK but I want something I can give to my son without having to modify it.
To an SKS novice, is this something I should not pass up? I have been interested in getting something in 7.62 and a rifle I share with my son when the time arises. I know little about them but am very intrigued.
I already have an ALG ACT in one rifle and a crappy "mil-spec" parts kit trigger in the other. I can either get another ACT, or bump up to a nicer drop-in unit. I want to limit myself to $150. What do you recommend for HD and range? I do not want to spend $200+ as nice as they may be.
