I would not fix the mag to the rifle. Should you have a FTF, jam or any issues it would be easier to deal with it with the detachable mag. If you're worried about losing your only mag then tell yourself never to remove it until absoultely necessary. Meanwhile keep searching for a spare.

I fine with getting rid of styrofoam. I hate styrofoam packaging, plates & cups. The only place I find it useful is exterior insulation panels on a house or foundation insulation.

My handguns are bone stock. I don't care to modify my old mil surplus rifles, vtg rifles or dbl barrel shotguns. With some things I prefer them stock. I have added a scope and bipod to my hunting rifles and target rifles.
