I agree. Every time I'm on a hunt. I kick back and enjoy the scenery and the hunt. no wife asking to do something, no kids asking me order something online. Just peace and quite. I do sometimes get annoyed with the squirrels that cause me to jump thinking it's a deer. lol
There's an old...
I know the feeling. I've collected my share of firearms, knives & ammo over time. As age has creeped up on me, I have started reducing my collection. It's hard deciding what to keep and sell. But I need to reduce the collection to a just few as my wife could care less about them when I'm...
Around here, we have some indoor storage units. They have different levels like a 3-4 story building. They maybe climate control. They're gated, requires passcode to get into the building & security cameras (I've driven by them, never used them.) It maybe a bit more secure than the outdoor...
I remember a similar incident with 2 hunters a long time ago (when I was a kid.)
After a long day of hunting with my dad on public land we headed back to the road/ parking area and found troopers everywhere. Troopers said there was a shooting. Two hunters started off into the woods before...
How wide of a tree are you using/ climbing?
I haven't had any issue with my tree strap falling down. I use a Summit harness (provided with the stand). I cinch the strap around the tree and it stay put. never had a problem with the tree strap being to short to go around the tree, if anything...
A long time ago, I found some .22lr laying on a shelf in the garage after I purchased my house. I put them in a pill bottle and they sat around (forgot about them) for 30 years more before I shot them. Didn't have any issues. The bullets had a thin white coating, but no rust or green patina.
I...
Yes, rifle magazine max at 5 rounds in NYC. (You can't have a 10 round rifle magazine and only load it with 5rds in NYC. )
Like I said NYC ( 5 boroughs ) has their own set of stupid rules.
No, NYC capacity limit is 5 rounds in the tube or magazine. (5 + 1 in the chamber is fine.)
But the Beretta 1201fp can hold up to SIX 2.75" shells in the tube.
NYC's issue is the threaded barrel. A Mini14 without the threaded barrel/ muzzle brake may pass, unless NYC changed *hit again.?
NYC has a different set of rules when it comes to owning firearms in NYC.
One is, NYC has a capacity limit of 5 rounds with ANY rifle or shotgun.
In order to own a rifle or shotgun in NYC you'll need to posses a rifle/ shotgun permit.
All NYC firearms (rifles, shotguns & handguns(separate...
Not all the wally worlds carry ammo anymore. Sometimes when I travel out of state I'll stop in to check. but so far no luck.
Lucky my local wally world still gets delivery. Purchased this today for a friend.
I believe It's for firearm season/big game season.. I read something that "NY DEC has proposed regulation changes include requiring “all hunters pursuing deer or bear with a firearm, or anyone accompanying them, to wear a solid or patterned fluorescent orange or fluorescent pink hat or vest or...
Per your question.. 6.5 creedmore is a flatter shooter vs .308.
Imo there are better options for a long range hunting rifle than a M1A.
Fieldcraft, Savage ultralight, Kimber, Tikka...
I would choose 300WM or 7mm for long distance elk, caribou hunting. just my $0.02
No, I would have said something... even if it could have been his friend, brother or sister. If I'm sitting in a class for a few hours, than someone else other than the person that place his bag there starts rummaging through it. I'm going to ask him "can I help you? " And let him explain what...
Happy ending.
CCW instructor:: So in today's class we're going to have live moving targets.. let go out to the parking lot and practice. (sarcasm.)
IDK, maybe it's me but why doesn't the guy (student) with the blue t-shirt and baseball cap sitting next to the thief say something or react when...
South Africa.
You can tell this is not the driver's first rodeo. The way he stays calm and jumps out with AR15 ready to confront the attackers.
The guy riding shotgun is so scared he doesn't have a clue what to do. The passenger should have called in the attack as soon as it occurred, instead...
Reports from stop & shop employees states the shooter worked there. They said he was transferred from another LI store to the Hempstead store because he had anger issues or something at the other store.
Reports say he shot two employees in a office on the 2nd floor of stop & shop. Then he shot...
imo. these are two F.... dumb ass cops. Officer crocker proceeds to stop the suv because he didn't see a license plate on the suv. Officer gutierrez then joins the traffic stop. Watch the video, at 3:55 as officer Crocker gets out of his patrol car and draws his weapon.. I'm watching this on a...
"The town of Windsor said in a statement Monday that officials “are taking actions to rebuild the public’s trust” and the police chief continues to implement training in line with state standards.
“Our goal is to always ensure transparency of our practices and procedures; we will provide...
Here's another video of the incident...
I think the cops went to far. Why not ask for the driver for his lic and reg. And tell him I stopped you because you don't have a lic plate on the vehicle. Didn't seem like the driver was combative or trying to argue.
After the driver's info checks out...
I've travel with them in a soft case or a gun sock, on the floor of the back seat or in the trunk of suv. I don't use a lock on them, you can if you like.
Keep your long guns unloaded when transporting. I travel with my ammo in my range bag/ammo can.
NYC: You are allowed to have a 10rd capacity "handgun magazine", but you can only load up to 7rds in NYC (unless you're at the range.)
Revolver with 8rd capacity. only load 7rds in NYC (unless your at the range).
NYC/NYPD info...
I'm not a lawyer. imo, It depends on how your divorce goes. If it's a mutual peaceful divorce- you guys just don't love each other anymore and both wants to more on/ go your separate ways. that's fine.
Compared to her making allegations.. you get angry, violent, threaten her, etc.. Things that...
No disrespect OP. It's not about assuming you want a gun to harm your spouse. it's the timing.
And even if you weren't going through a divorce, but your spouse doesn't want to sign the affidavit co-habitant (because she doesn't like guns/ want guns in the house.) The bureau may still deny...
Yeah, that's not going to work.. going through a divorce and applying for firearm permit.
Imo, I would wait until the divorce is finalized and then apply.

No. Rifles like the Ruger 10/22 uses a detachable magazines for reloading.
Rifles like the Marlin 60 are tube feed.. which the tube is not detachable for reloading.
I would recommend going to a gun store that has a large inventory (Bass Pro/ Cabelas, Sportsman warehouse, etc..) and look around/ handle a few different rifle and see which one you fancy. (maybe when things clam down.)
Some of the modern budget hunting rifles... Ruger American, Savage...
imo.. It's a good idea to have cash on hand in case of an emergency. When the electric goes out your ATM card isn't going to work. Your debit/ credit cards aren't going to work. At least with cash you can still buy things even if the store's CC machine is down.
How much cash to have on hand...
Are you upgrading? Looking for your first hunting rifle? Or maybe you want to go top notch for your 1st hunting rifle...
Sako makes an excellent hunting rifle if that's what you want. There are also many other excellent hunting rifles... Weatherby, Tika, Savage, Bergara, Christensen Arms and...
There are numerous vendors and private sellers on GB. Different vendors will require your FFL's Lic to be sent to them.
I believe Buds also has an account on GB.
(I've purchased firearms from the same GB vendor, and had to have my FFL resend their lic to them each time I purchase another gun...
That's crazy.
I have a couple "cases" of .35 Rem.
and 2 cases of swiss ammo still in the black seal box.
Over the years, I've stock up on ammo. enough to last a WHILE. (now, I'm just going to hold on to it.)
This past rifle season I sold a couple boxes of .35Rem at $28ea just to help out a...
