I like a good leather holster. I will only carry my revolvers and 1911's in a leather holster.
For my polymer guns, I carry them in either leather or kydex.
They sell youth size (shorter LOP) stocks for a Rem 700.
Or maybe buy a used stock and cut that down to size if you don't want to alter the original stock.
Welcome to the forum.
I always go to the range by myself. never bothers me. it allows me to concentrate on what I'm doing.
Don't let the guys with the fancy toys intimidate you. Keep shooting, hone your shooting skills. good luck and welcome to the sport.
I think some of the cowboys loads around 1300fps are the lowest. but at about $2 a shot it's not cheap.
(IMO... a shotgun is a better option for home defense.)
Welcome to the forum. Don't know what gun shop gave you that info? But it doesn't make any sense to me.. Many LGS around here sell both NY compliant AR's and standard AR's (with all the features). The non-safeact/ standard AR15's are available to LE only.
I assume you're a civilian looking...
If you notice, they're not shipping to free States like PA or NV neither. They are pausing shipment to the listed States because those are the States that have the "non-essential business closures" in place. They probably don't want to ship a firearm to an FFL that is closed (until further...
Imo.. I don't feel this has to do with gov't gun control. If you notice, every state that is on "Grab a Gun's" list has the cova19 non-essential business closure in place. Even gun friendly states like PA & NV are on the list.
The beginning of March there were 1000 cases of the virus in the...
All the gun stores, gun ranges and even the pistol licensing bureau are closed in my area because of Cuomo non-essential business closures request. the same is happening through out NYS. Not because it's firearms, but because it's considered non- essential.
imo, all those rumors are BS from...
I think OP is referring to going big game hunting (deer/ bear) as an option if one runs out of meat in this crisis even through it's not hunting season.
If you're interested in shooting clays. Then you'll want a shotgun. They come in a variety of actions: pump, semi, O/U, and SxS. pump action being the cheapest. The most common shotguns gauges are: .410, 16, 20, 12.
.410 gauge being the lightest recoil. 12ga being the most popular multi...
Mossberg 500 or 590A1...
The Moss 590A1 has a thicker walled barrel (more weight), has a metal trigger guard. 18" -20 " barrel. extended mag tube. A choice for law enforcement, military & home protection. A nice shotgun.
But if your intentions is to participate in skeet/ trap/ target shooting...
