I had a similar problem with grips on a model 60 and they sent out a new set. If you want wood grips, take a look at Altamont Grips. I have Hogue wood grips on my 642 but if I hadn’t found them at the price I did, I would have gone with a set from Altamont.
I’ve had similar experiences for a long time now. I used to find some good deals on Spyderco knives at Sierra Trading Post. Around 2010 they stoped shipping knives to New York. Not only knives, but they would not ship knife related products. I wrote to them to explain that owning any knife that...
I have both the DeSantis Nemesis and a Bear Creek back pocket (Back Pocket Holster | Doubles as a Front Pocket Holster | All US Leather & Exotic Accents). I unscrewed the front flap on the Bear Creek and carry it in my front pocket. Both are excellent holsters.
For anyone with an LCP who wants...
Very sad indeed. I have family in Vermont and like visiting there. Until now, they generally left us alone. Hopefully, they will have a better chance in court than we did.

Beautiful grips indeed! I have Altamont grips on one of mine as well. Do they get in the way when you eject cases? Just wondering because I once had a similar set but different brand that would interfere with .38s or .357s. I actually almost bought the same style you have but settled on their...
At my club, in the event that a cease-fire is called for the purpose of going down range, everything stays on the bench. Actions are open, magazines out, and bore flags are inserted. RSO inspects the line and declares it safe before anyone crosses the red line.
What do you guys recommend for a red dot scope? Preferably, something with a lower profile. I don’t want the scope to be more money than the rifle but I don’t want buy junk either.
Agreed, given all we have learned lately about the number of not yet recertified permits and the fact that the state police have publicly stated that they will accept late applicanttions, it seems as though this is the way it will all play out. Black helicopters aren’t coming.
I prefer kydex for IWB mainly because most leather IWB holsters I have looked at tend add to the bulk.
As for OWB, I had Ritchie Gun Leather make something called the IPB (in between pants and belt). Offers the best of both the IWB and OWB.
I have one from this company (InvisiHolsters, LLC) and am happy with it. I have found that with IWB holsters, especially when tuckable, work better when the clip is offset so as not on slide or cylinder.
It eventually gives the next recertification date. Mine took about a week to go from "processed" to "Thank you for recertifying ........" Either way, they are acknowledging that they have it. Just noticed that they added some FAQs to their page.
Wow, hope it works out that way for you. That savings will buy you a few extra magazines. I keep reminding the guys I know at the local shop that I’m interested. The owner told me that he expects to get them and that he has had quite a few requests. I was actually thinking about adding a 10/22...
There is a shop that I have been to in Waterbury, VT that received them a couple days ago. They are selling them at $499! I was kind of expecting the price to be a little higher.
Of course, they will have the version with the evil threaded barrel and standard capacity magazine. Every time a...
Yep, I have had people asd the same. In fact, there are some people out there that don't realize that they STILL have have permits. Conversation usually starts something like "I used to have a permit years ago when I belonged to XYZ conservation club."
Don't get me wrong, I don't expect much either but the counties, cities, and towns telling the state that they do not approve of NYSAFE is one thing. In this case, we have counties acknowledging that only a fraction of their permit holders have submitted and we are are at the eleventh hour. It's...
Yes, the progressive press seems to be the preference of most of the guys I know who load pistol cartridges. I just prefer a single stage press, off press priming, and a powder measure. With that set up, I have been able to keep up with weekly trips to the range (50 rounds or so) and I don't...
I have both the Lee Perfect Powder Measure and RCBS. I use the Lee with bulkier powders like Unique. If I were to use it for a finer powder like AA2 or AA7, it will leak. The RCBS is excellent with the finer powders.

Looks as though others caught onto this deal pretty fast and decided to stock up. With the exception of the primers I don't buy much at Cabela's, however, I did find out that they will give you the item at the price it is listed online if you bring it to their attention at the register.
Just...
I actually like it for that reason, but then again, everyone has his own criteria in choosing a gun. Parts are always available, affordable, and easy to install. I'm far from being a gunsmith but I bet I can strip the slide with my eyes closed.
Aside from all that has been mentioned, the 19...

I have used plenty of RMR bullets in pistol calibers, both pulled and their own brand. They ship fast and stand by their products. BTW, they sent the cuppon code MERRYANDBRIGHT on 12/28 for 10% off. It may still be good if you order.
I have used a Hornady for about seven years. My only complaint is that the backlight on the display will flicker from time to time. More importantly, it is accurate. I calibrate it before every reloading session with the two weights it came with.
All I can speak for are small pistol primers but I have used most major bands including Remington, CCI, Winchester, Fiocchi, and Sellier & Bellot. All work fine.
The S&Bs are on sale at Cabela’s at the moment for $19.99 so it would be worth it to stock up if there is a store near you or online...
Ha! Me too. I always like the fact that, even if it is only a drop in the bucket, I’m contributing to the overall number of guns purchased by the good and responsible people and the cause of the progressive’s tears. Just doing my patriotic duty.
According to the FAQs you do not have to do anything but follow your country’s instructions for amendments. That’s why we all have a duty to buy ourselves something nice for Christmas to screw up their process.
For a pocket holster, I agree with Calculon that Remora is great. I also like the DeSantis Nemesis. If you want leather, Lobo and Bear Creek are both top notch.
It may also be nice to have an tuckable iwb holster for it. It will come in handy for dressier occasions. I have one from...
Here is my LCP story: Years ago I went to the gun store fully anticipating to purchase a Kahr P380. I had considered the LCP but new I wanted the Kahr. After talking with the salesman I usually deal with, I ended up with the LCP. One of the reasons being, as mentioned by others here, that it is...
Thanks to all for the helpful replies. As I ponder the grip options, I have been using a spare set of Hogue Bantam grips (link below) that I had intended to use on a 642. The rubber grips certainly feel secure and soak up recoil, however, they tend to stick to clothing. Of course, we are always...
