Wife just got her interview date in ulster county with judge mcginty. Anyone have any information about this judge. Not sure if it’s the husband or the wife though. So maybe some info on both if possible. Is he /she a full carry kind of judge or a restrictions kind ?
Thanks In advanced
Picked up the license today and submitted the amendment form. Now waiting for judge to sign off. Let the wait begin. Sheriff said 3-5 weeks. Such a terrible process
that's what im afraid of. What county are you in? the letter says that I bring in the bill of sale and pay the 15$ for the license fee and a purchase coupon. just curious if they will give it to me there or if I have to wait for the judge to "approve" the purchase
according to my informed delivery from usps, looks like there is a letter waiting for me from the sheriffs department. Assuming its to let me know that I can go pick up my permit tomorrow!

Last Wednesday the judge gave me the approval then Saturday I went to the store and put a gun on hold. They gave me a paper with serial number and description on it. My question is do I take that to sheriff or do I wait for my permit and get the real receipt Before I can do anything.
Going to gun store tomorrow to put a deposit on a pistol. Anyone from ulster county can tell me what happens next in the process after judge approved me. Said he was sending paperwork back to sheriff. Now what?
Thanks. He seemed like a great guy. Asked why I wanted it and stuck to my letter. He asked if I had a safe and if I will keep it locked up. Then just some regular talk and it was over
Hoping maybe he has changed in the past 9 years. Oh well restricted is better than nothing I guess. Did you wear a suit or just khakis and a dress suit?
So it’s been 9 weeks since I submitted my application. Just got a letter today for my interview. It’s with judge gilpatric. Anyone have experience with him? Also what kind of questions will he ask? Should I wear full suit or just pants with shirt and tie? Really hoping for full carry
new here and just submitted my application last week. Fingers crossed for a smoothie quick process with no restrictions. I live in ulster county and have for my whole life. Anyone else here from ulster? Looking for new friends and shooting buddies if everything goes right
Hi everyone just wanted to post and say I finally submitted my application last Thursday 5/9/19 in ulster county. The guy at the sheriffs told me in about 2 months I should hear from the judge for an interview and the whole process should take 4-6 months. Obviously going for full carry so wish...
