Most likely Burger King, whopper with cheese, fries and a coke. My daughter had been born a few weeks earlier, my wife was on leave from her job at the hospital, my sister in law was our nanny, and Burger King was down the street. I would come home from the airfield and pick up lunch for three...
Less than that if you subtract the number of standard capacity mags in Places I have been known to stash things.
a good rule of thumb for guns with magazines is 20 magazines per gun. Some of you need to catch up.
Not quite the NYState law definition:
22. "Assault weapon" means
(a) a semiautomatic rifle that has an ability to accept a detachable
magazine and has at least one of the following characteristics:
(i) a folding or telescoping stock;
(ii) a pistol grip that protrudes...
It is, most veterans have some hearing loss or tinnitus. Exposure to very high decibel noises, with or without hearing protection is common, especially in field or combat environments.
Based in Queens? I suggest you start looking at NYC gun laws as they apply to you. Otherwise you may find yourself the subject of the 6 O’clock news.
Add to that the Federal gun laws.
Any guns purchased out of state of residence still have to meet the legal requirements of the state of...
And reset your retirement high 3 pay.
When they recalled retirees for the surge into Iraq, most were to handle administrative and training needs for the forced getting ready to deploy. No PT or Weapons qual required. They were not eligible for promotion and were not deployed.
I have Henry and Marlin (real Marlins) lever guns in my collection. I shoot the Henry 357 in Cowboy action competitions, it is not as fast as the 1873 Winchesters, but my days of being a bullet hose gun slinger are long past.
I have seen and handled the new Ruger Marlins and have one on layaway...
This is my shocked face . Lots of people who work for the government feel this way. Fortunately lots of people who work for the government feel the opposite way. If you look at every political hot button issue ( immigration, gun control, education, welfare, vaccines, drugs, abortion, and...
What I see happening if the absolute worst happened. The military will go one of two ways. 1) Desertion rate cripples most units and they fall back to guarding their own. or 2) the military moves to secure critical infrastructure and protect it until the civilian government is restored.
The...
For every serious thing that should be discussed, there is an equal amount of discussions that need to be exposed for their absurdity. The only way to counter outlandishly absurd topics is to let them die in the light.
You asked:
Kind of iffy but:

Kind of controversial

You tend to post thing that go straight to the looney side of the great liberal dream. If that happens kiss everything else goodbye including the society.
So new congressional terms start on 1 Jan following the election. The President’s term starts on the 20th of Jan. If Trump wins highly unlikely the Congress will flip to Dem. Most likely the senate flips to Republican and the Republicans keep the house. But since we have an election season vs an...
If not a pistol as defined before all the stupid crap the ATF tried and failed.
It is an SBR if it has a stock and a barrel length of less than 16 inches or have an OAL of less than 26 inches. It can have a 16” barrel and an OAL of less than 26” and still be considered a SBR.
Very true the NC gun owners forum is not very active. However they talk a lot more about guns and less about politics. A few of the most active posters are EX-NYers.
I am not on any of the forums as much as I used to be. Better weather for shooting down here in the winter. Not as great in the...
Did NYS introduce a ban on private ammo sales? Is there a law that prohibits straw purchases of ammo? Is there even a NY definition of an ammo straw purchase?
I really doubt this bill is going anywhere but if it does, it is not enforceable and therefore it is feel good legislation.
I would...
The gun owners who supported mandatory training have enabled this. I have always been against government mandated trading for gun owners because it could be made so onerous and expensive that nobody would apply and nobody could pass.
Just makes you want to line these criminals up, douse them with gasoline then shoot em with tracers till they catch fire.
Either that or tape a can of tannerite to their ass and set it off.
Either way works for me.
I would stick to 147-150 grain FMJs for range blasting and 2 legged varmints out to 1100 meters. If hunting I would go with 150-165 grain expanding type bullets for a humane kill.
Other than that stick powders tend to be cleaner burning in semi auto and full auto applications. YMMV.
