Thanks to everyone for chiming in! I guess I was overthinking this. Just trying to be safe. I know a few fellow shooters with a chronograph I can use. I think I'll stick w/ the 24.5 loads. I may load a few up in slightly higher loads( nothing HOT) and bag and mark them to put aside to try out in...
Finally getting time to do some reloading. Using H335 and Hornady 55 gr FMJBT w/c and 55gr SPBT w/c. I love how well this ball powder meters, but am reading it can be temp sensitive. Normally shoot between 15F and maybe 90F temps. I have read accounts where winter loads have been seriously over...
SOOO.............90 days out rifle licensing goes into effect. So say on day 95 someone is shooting with a PREVIOUSLY owned rifle from a year back, and is approached by leo . If they ask if you have a rifle license and you tell them no, this was bought way before the new law.
a) How do you...

I have bad arthritis in my hands. I tried using this but ended up having a friend install bbl nut for me. I can't tell if a tooth got bent or it's made that way (I think it's made like this) don't have a camera. It is scuffed up a bit...
Did this on my Henry .357 Big Boy. It's got the big loop which i love being i have bear paws, but it does cushion the knuckles/back of hand when rapid fire. Waiting for the case hardened side loader Henry.......be so nice to top off w/o the tube. Also Skinner peep sights for the win!!!
Yup I'm gonna make some receiver blocks. Ordered everything today and the wife offered to get me a Real Avid armorers wrench. So now I just gotta wait. I'll grab up torque wrench from H/F.
Thanks to Tech and Kev for the offers to help me out.. And thanks to Carlos for the tool kit idea...
Do I need the bbl nut wrench w/ the pins that engages the ''fingers''(?) while you push the delta ring back? I'm just using some Magpul h/g I have laying around. The upper I'm getting has the dust cover on it.......that looks like a pita. I have bear paws which can be problematic w/ some of...
Nope not my first, I assemble the lowers and buy an upper, just felt like trying it all from scratch, It's actually going on a SCR. I'm only spending about $300.00 I COULD wait and get the tools then assemble. But I figured if someone here would like to help me out I'll do it now. Sorry...
I MAY be putting together an upper. I've got a Stag bcg.....Want to get an Aero precision upper no f/a and a Green mtn 16''bbl. Getting all the parts is all the budget is gonna allow. nothing extra for tools. Anyone in Southern Albany county have the tools and time to help me get this...
Saw a guy use a piece of wire to reach down and pull back the nose ''safety'' on his Bostitch...............full auto 16's incoming!! His buddy was in the portojohn. Guy w/ the Bostitch had him pinned down from the roof.o_O They don't fly like an arrow but from that distance would probably...
When you come out his old place., go left down to the light. go right and head south on 30 back toward Amsterdam. After you go thru the circle head up the hill past the ''giant mountain man'' statue on the left. He's on the left just about at the top of the hill.
I'm looking at Giraud trimmer(NOT the machine just the cutter head) Little Crow wft and also the Trim it/Trimit2. Anybody have one of these? Looking for easiest to adjust. Tried a lathe style and not really thrilled. I'd rather get this done asap.
So.......drop it in AFTER decap/resize and if the boltface is above the lower shelf but NOT above the upper shelf it's sized right? Flip over and place on a flat surface and as long as the case isn't longer than the case gauge, gtg? correct? Just trying to K,I,S,S, if that's possible...
I want to reload .223 for strictly semi auto. multiple guns. Is a cartridge gauge a good choice for checking length/ set up? If so which? Lyman Dillon Hornady L.E. Wilson?
I wish, though it would look funky. The stock is lower than an AR15's and puts the sight WAY too high. I did put my m4gery top on for the hell of it and also another upper w/ a vortex prism and it was a chin weld plus! LOL the Troys are lower than normal, meant to go on a rifle w/ a raised...
Dammit that's not good. I really like that KISS reticle but closing in on $300.00 for my money I want something clear. I may go w/ the irons. I'd go w/ a rds but my astigmatism makes it a small cluster of grapes!
I was just doing some wishful thinking and she leaned over my shoulder and said pick something you want, it's on me. the customize an upper add had 20'' yhm no threads bbl and thats what I got 1x7. I figure in this asshole state, no threads beats a thread protector no matter how it's attached .
I got a surprise from the wife......a 20'' YHM complete upper from JSE Surplus! It has a railed gas block and Magpul rifle h/g. This is going on my ARES SCR. I am torn between adding either the Troy flip up Micro sights or Primary Arms ACSS-KISS 1-6
