look forward to pick it up at my FFL soonish. I expect I’ll be giggling every time I shoot. Scored 1000 rounds for around 150. Its over double pre-COVID prices but still the cheapest way to get out on the range right now.
Was in the same boat as you. I was looking at the Rossi R92 in .357 which currently about 600. Finally just decided on a Henry Holden Boy in .22LR.
Eventually, I’ll likely get a Marlin CSBL if they become easier to find.
I use a Geissele SSA Trigger. It's a 2 stage with about a 4.5 lb pull weight but it is pricey ~$200. I've used the LaRue MBT-2S trigger which is very comparable but will set you back a lot less. ~$70-80.

The AU ambi mag release came. Seems like a decent enough part. Some machine marks but similar quality to the Troy in my other rifle. Good value for 25 bucks.
