On the S&W 22 AR no ear protection is needed. On the Kimber 1911, plugs are enough and muzzle rise is cut 50%. On the Kimber 6.5 Creedmore and Tikka T3 308, only need plugs and recoil way down. Just so stupid that these are not Legal everwhere. Wonder if NYS game wardens do strip searches ?
