Up for sale is a Green 1997 Chevrolet K1500 Suburban 4x4. It has a Vortec 5.7L (350 CI) engine, Automatic Transmission. It also has a Western 7'6" plow on it as well. I've had this truck for about 5 years now, and I put the plow on it when I first aquired this truck, and it has been one amazing plow truck.
I've put some new parts in it over the last year or so, and they include:
New radiator
New heater hoses, eliminated rear heat
New fuel pump
Used rear axle from Don's Automotive mall, has about 106,000 miles on it
New rear leaf springs with 2" lift blocks
New Y-pipe with new catalytic converter's
Flowmaster Force II cat-back exhaust
Wheels are off of a 2003 Suburban, they look a LOT better than the factory 1997 wheels
Tires are decent, they are 225/75R16 Load Range E Michelin's.
It is wired with 2 batteries
Now here's the bad:
There's a small hole starting on the LF part of the frame, but it is plateable
Trailer hitch has a couple holes in it
Tailgate hinges are coming un-welded.
Plowframe needs to be pushed back and re-welded
Driver's side door handle inside broke, I just roll the window down and open it from the outside.
I have also installed a min-bar light on the roof, and some in the back window's of the truck for plowing that I will leave with the truck. I used it during the 2 foot snowfall we just had, and I did not get stuck once driving thru Binghamton, and I even had to pull out a Dodge pickup with it that got stuck. The 4WD in this truck has been phenomenal.
