I got the stainless for $200 through the friends and family deal. It was someone from the old forum. There was a rebate on even that but Remington played games and I never got it. Guess I can't complain about getting a brand new 1911 for that price though.

Which 380? I'm looking at the site and the only 380 I see is the RM380. After $100 rebate it would still be about $228( $338 on gallery of guns). For under $100 I would buy one just because.

If the R51 was priced at $100 before the rebate, it would almost be worth considering.

Zero issues here. Albeit the last Rem I purchased was a few 3-4 yrs. ago. My R1, 870 & 700 all run flawless. I guess there is good and bad in everything though.

I've had no issues with my Rem 1911. Like I said I got it really cheap and it turned out to be a winner. Now how could I pass up a brand new $100 dollar gun? Although I really hate passing on problems to the next person, if it turns out to be a lemon I'm sure even an LGS would buy it back for $100. No loss.
