43x conundrums

Got an email yesterday from Grabagun that the 43x was in stock. Only thing that kept me from getting it was my wife finding out about it by seeing it on our bank statement. Was gonna do their financing, but with my luck she'd find one of those statements too. Local store called tonight and said that they came in. It'll cost me $55 more locally after taxes which isn't bad, but man, that's 500 rounds of ammo.

You're right. I have bought many guns from there that i could've gotten way cheaper online, but i really shouldn't be buying this thing right now anyway, so I'm being more frugal than usual.

What was the price? I would say join gssf and buy one with the coupon they send you. Unfortunately there is no prices yet on the g43x on the gssf site.

The $55 includes the transfer fee. I doubt they'd move on the price since its new and there's a waiting list for it. It was all i could do to get them to take $20 off the used (but unfired) G43 i recently bought from them.

Here is the suggested pricing from blue label dealers. The g43x isn’t on the list yet but the g45 is, so they r working on it. My local blue label dealer honors the pricing but you have to pay shipping which was $25. Granted you need to buy a multi year membership for $60 buck but you will get a coupon when you join and the second coupon on your membership anniversary date. You don’t need to participate in their shoots but they are fun. But you need to see if you have any blue label dealers near by

I think this thing makes more sense if you look at it as a single stack G19. Maybe Glock should have done exactly that.

Still worth the membership even if you don’t shoot. I am fortunate enough to have one shoot 25 mins away. I plan on using my first coupon on a g26 gen 5 if I can ever make it to my blue label dealer.

This is 100% backward. You don't want the gun ($450-500) hitting the bank statement before 100 bucks or so for a romantic evening.

Get the flowers, chocolate, and wine first. And for the love of God - buy her a card and scrawl something heartfelt in it, you neanderthal.

Get her nice and dopamined up, and make sweet, sweet love to her. Afterward wait a few minutes whilst the candles flicker, the incense curls toward the ceiling, and say, "you know sweetheart, I love you so much and would do anything to protect and preserve you and everything we have together. Anywhere, anytime." Use your discretion from there. Hell, Valentine's Day is coming, you should have it by Easter.

In all seriousness, if you get to go handle one and like it and are still on a budget (I know the feeling) see if there's anything you can toss on the table as a sale? Something you don't like as much. I did that with a Remmy 760 pump that just didn't do it for me, that I got super cheap and sold for well above what I paid. I wound up paying out of pocket... not a whole lot for the brand new Vortex-scoped patrol .308 I took home the same day.

*Decent* roses: $48 / 2 dozen
Chocolates : call it $24 bucks for 12 (Jacques Torres is your friend when it comes to the ladies, they're fancy, in a fancy box, and not so large she feels like a pig eating them)
Card: $8 bucks. Get the fancy kind you have to tear plastic off.

That leaves $20 for wine. If you can't buy an impressive wine in 2018 for $20 you're either doing it wrong or your lady has impeccable taste and I'd like to meet her (platonic of course).

End hijack - sorry @Justincase / ya'll. Been a long week for me and saw @Acer-m14's post and "had to" jump in. I do think handle / think / trade and or sell may be in order. I am thinking of doing the same for a P227 I'd kind of like to dump for either a P226 or a .380.

I looked at the 43x. I decided to buy a couple of 9rd ETS mags with X-Grips for $50 and put the rest of the money into the ammo fund.

Just left the gun store. Fondled the 43x and the 48. The grip size is MUCH improved over the 43. That little increase makes a big difference. I would've got it on the spot of it wasn't for the damn silver. It's rough, seems to blemish easily and looks like they forgot to finish the damn thing. I'll wait until they come out with the normal finish slide.

As for concealability, it's only about 3/8" longer than the 43 with a standard pinky extension mag like i run. If you've got bigger hands and didn't like the small grip of the 43, try this one. Nice middle ground between the 19 and the 43.
