A-1023A/S-4970A, Requires the creation and imposition of restrictive commercial practices and stringent recordkeeping and reporting to prevent gun and ammunition sales to individuals with a criminal record, have been amended and resubmitted to Assembly Rules and Senate Finance.

Wasn't this part of the unSAFE Act ammo background check that NY is spending millions of dollars on and can't get it to work?

There is some real gems in there for dealers. Every gun would need to be locked up in a fireproof safe during non business hours. All ammo needs to be locked up. No one under 18 in the store unless with a guardian, monitored alarm system, mandatory CCTV with 2 year retention.
I guess they dont need to ban guns if no dealer wants to sell them because its too much of a hassle.
