Then again if I was borrowing my dad‘s truck and heard someone Shooting, I would’ve immediately stopped to see what the heck was going on. So wonder if there’s more to the story.

sad but why and I repeat why is a friggin vehicle so sacred that shots must be fired for a suspected theft. That's what insurance is for. I have a 67 R/T with a hemi and if in that person's position, and my car being stolen...I call 911. It's like people hunting and shooting at a sound. How does a Father explain this to the Son's Mother ? Extremely sad.
