I didn't read it all, but even snopes despite not wanting to is forced to say this, in its conclusion of the first three statements (I stopped after this):

Gun registration and targeted confiscations therefore played an essential role in Stalin’s genocidal activities....The Armenians had been officially prohibited from owning firearms for hundreds of years in the Ottoman Empire; what weapons they did have were confiscated in the interests of eradicating that part of the population...the disarmament of Jews and other targeted minority populations was an essential feature of Hitler’s genocidal program

So the thing is, gun control does not mean you'll be targeted for genocide (e.g. Japan, they have basically no guns, but no genocide), but if you are going to be targeted for genocide you'll probably suffer gun control first. Genocide appears unsurprisingly more of a challenge against an armed population.
