I bought these mounts a few months ago and finally got around to putting a new 1-6 scope on my rifle last night. Well made product but what a PIA to install. The rings act as clamps with 2 screws at the bottom of each ring. When you tighten the screws they torque the scope twisting it out of level. No matter how many adjustments I made it would still be off slightly. I finally got it right after about an hour. I have never had this much trouble mounting a scope before. Anyone else use this mount and have problems?

It was a bit of a pain, but i got it to work after 8-10 tries. Maybe 10 min total time.

I agree. It is a PITA.

That being said, i have been running one for around 4 years with zero issues.

never had any issues but it definitely is a pain. When i have the whole basement to myself i'll just line up the scope with something i know is level on the other side of the room, then torque it down and try to get an accurate idea of how much it moves each time and go from there.

I've found that dropping a plumb line and then "squaring" a grid target to the plumb line is the easiest way to line a scope. a magnetic whiteboard makes it painless.

No problems mounting scopes. I have two small levels. One for the gun and one for the scope. I can usually set the eye relief and have the scope leveled in less than 10 minutes. The problem I had was when you tighten these rings they would twist the scope. Seemed like a different amount every time I tried. Through trial and error I finally got it right but it took about an hour. I think the end result will justify the effort.

That's why imma keep using them. They're rock solid for being as light as they are.
