Before you make that trade you may want to read up on the Temperature distortion issues and POI shifts. I'm not sure what models where effected but somthing to consider.
Are you thinking of the eotech issues? I haven't heard of there being any problems with aimpoint. Infact it seems like since eotech screwed up, and is being sued for fraud, aimpoint seems to be the default go to for a lot of people

Yes i was refering to the eotech issues, Before he trades his Aimpoint for a piece of gear that's not so great he may want to read up on eotech issues.
