I was at the Bills game today, I do not think anyone from either team took a knee.

Maybe because the Bills were honoring a Buffalo Officer that just died and buried on Wednesday. I will say, they all looked pretty professional standing as unified teams.

Again, if the true concept of affirmative action were applied to the NFL (and the NBA), the population of NFL players would be exactly 14% black and about 5-8% other minorities, which would mean that the majority would be white players who would stand, hand on heart, to the national anthem, as has been traditionally taught to our children. Rev. Jesse Jackson: NFL owners have 'plantation mentality'
SEATTLE - Reverend Jesse Jackson, the noted civil rights activist, wants to have an extensive conversation with Texans owner Bob McNair.

In the wake of a firestorm of controversy following McNair saying "We can't have the inmates running the prison," at a recent NFL owners meetings, Jackson was sharply critical of the remarks in a telephone interview Sunday with The Houston Chronicle. Jackson accused owners, including McNair, of having a "plantation mentality."


Jackson added that there should be sanctions against McNair for his comments. McNair has apologized publicly in a statement and privately to his players and stated that he wasn't referring to players in those remarks.

said he reached out to McNair and Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and hasn't heard back from them.


Jackson suggested that the NFL provide extensive details about what was said at the closed-door meeting regarding players' national anthem protests.

And another. My fall Sundays were always planned around the games I wanted to watch. I watched week one this year. Haven't seen one single play since that week. Each week that passes it becomes easier and easier to not watch.

These owners need to realize there is lasting damage being done here.
The players need to understand that as their current contracts expire their future bargaining chips are shrinking RAPIDLY. It will go full circle when the new contracts reflect the reduced revenue the owners have to spend. Then they'll pay the piper.

Actually they don't have a "Right" while privately employed to express anything. Additionally if their act/action causes tarnish or damage to the owners product they can be disciplined, including cessation of employment!

If the Texans owner has the mettle he showed stating his opinion about the actions of these multi millionaire crybabies and fired them... All the BS protesting would end with the exception of a few hard liners! But he should take the hit and make a statement... I bet more people would show up at the next game! Fire them all...
