Aluminum frame , steel slide.

I'm old school carbon steel type of guy, looking at a few pistols that are aluminum framed. Any drawbacks / liabilities to the Alum/Steel combos ?

As long as the barrel is timmed correctly there is not an issue with alloy frames under normal usage

Nope. I've got a a Taurus 92 that was made in 1986 that has many thousands of rounds through it with almost no wear on the frame. I also have an aluminum frame 1911 that is holding up very well.

Sig, and many CZ are made that way, doesnt seem like anyone is wearing them out.

Many are. I have an old smith and Wesson that way that's well loved. I also have a kimber that way too. No problems just makes them
Lighter.

Is your frame anodized black? If so, has the anodization worn away at all where the slide meets the frame?

yes it's anodized, no wear so far...

Mines good to. A little wear on the rails, but that's to be expected.
