Ok guys. No BS. Someone reached out looking for someone with knowledge or insights on a Alvis Sabre light reconnaissance tank. This British model has the Jaguar engine and the canon was de-militarized. My tank insights are exclusive to M4A3 Sherman's so I am trying a few different avenues to help.

Many more photos of the actual tank being considered are available if needed but bottom line a potential nearby buyer is looking at purchasing and restoring. I think it would be fun if this NY forum could help someone kick off a project like this.

I know all about it and can rebuild it, but I’d have to drive it first before I told you anything. It’s a tank guys a fucking tank. I’ve always wanted to drive one.
Hopefully by now you figured out I don’t actually know much about tanks but would love to drive one.
In all seriousness that’s badass.

It is for sale, and the small nearby shop that wants to take on this project can handle it but it is a different project than they normally take on so they are trying to gather insights. I pass by their shop when driving to target sports or nearby family and they have an amazing business. I just have a passing knowledge of the shop but they are friends with a close shooting buddy.

Oh is that all a Ford GT500. Ah that’s nothing. Must be a fun shop to just even drive by. I’ve never even seen a GT500 in person I dont think. Ive seen Ferrari’s and lambo’s but not sure on the GT 500
That tank is so cool. I wanted to get some folks together and drive one in Florida at a training I was at. Couldn’t get folks to do it. It was machine gun adventures and they have a few tank packages. One where you can run over a car but it was like $1,100 per person and you needed a few people.
Guys it’s a fucking tank!!
