Does anyone own these sights? I'm wondering if the rear sight has a sharp edge.

I bought the Trijicon HD's and took them off after about a week because the rear sight has a sharp edge that dug into my skin and started to wear through my shirts.

Only Ameriglo I've had do have are the blacked out front rear suppressor height sights.. and love them.

But I have since moved over to Dawson, I have their blacked out rear fiber front normal height sights. And it does have a sharp corner.

But i also have their suppressor height sights blacked out front and rear and love them

I think he means like thr corner isn't rounded but pointed.. not a ledge vs Novak or similar sights

Exactly. The top edge is very sharp and just about cuts through my shirts.

I actually love carrying my G17, never thought I'd like fiber optic front sight as much as I do, but the rear sight stabs my tum tum

My only thought on night sights (hat tip to Chris Fry) is to have a different color between the front and rear sights so you know which way the gun is pointed in the dark.

Then I would have an unfinished edge. My OCD would not allow that. And I'm not even sure that would work. It would probably require a metal file.

I have them on both of my M&P 2.0 pistols; I have TruGlo TFX Pro sights on my Gen1 M&P Shield and they are very sharp. If I ever get a 2.0 Shield (unlikely given how much I'm liking the 365XL) I'll put a set of I-Dots on the Shield also. The I-Dots are not sharp, do have that "ledge" to let you rack on belt, boots, flat surfaces etc etc.. I also love the 2-dot style.

I have the AmeriGlo Bold night sights on 2 of my Glocks.
They have a square edge that you can use to rack the slide but not sharp enough to cut you or your shirt.

Take down the edge with a file or your girlfriend's emery board. Then touch up with cold blue or a sharpie.

Its a tool, not a mantle piece. Make it work for you.
