Kinda interesting thread on Survivalistboards about Australia's situation as told by an Aussie.

things of interest:
There was a shortage of PVC shortly after the ban..
There maybe 300 000 SKSs in Au.
It took 10 days from the massacre to implementation of the ban.
Their NRA didn't fight much as it didn't affect most of their members ( most were bench shooters and clays) .
The UN was behind it.

Interesting article. Most Aussies live in cities. Strong federal gov't. Weak states dependent on federal gov't. They're dependent on UN support bc their economy isn't as large as US. US is only country with the 'muscle' to tell the UN to piss off.
