I did see that, and I think one of the wholesalers that we deal with was advertising them as well... Handgun (Lawful ones) sale in New York are somewhat slow, and without repeal of the CCIA likely to slow even more.
It does seem the Handgun Market is saturated 'better mouse trap" including the DIY kit guns mostly based off Grock designs.
On a Tangent: Log into Facebook is offering 18 hour courses at $350. for residents of Jefferson, Lewis, St. Lawrence Counties.
Just looked: Kiger 9C is available with a Dealer Special price of $389.99 again that's FFL/Dealer pricing.

I think it’s just a surprise they would jump into this game at this time. What would draw most away from a sig, Glock, walther , or a few others? Price isn’t that much better and you only get one mag.
That's just the thing.... The market is saturated in really good quality polymer striker fired 9mms that it's going to be really hard to gain market share.
There are already plenty of good gun lines from established and reputable companies that are struggling to differentiate themselves and grow. (fn 509, Cz p10, hk VP9, Beretta APX, Ruger American, Walther pdp etc). Any of those are great gun lines and really have positive reviews but they just won't really take much share from Glock, sig p320.
I think SW m&p is somewhere in the middle. They aren't relegated to 2nd tier market share and popularity but they aren't Glock or SIG.

My point is just that if a company decides it's going to get into an already established game, you can't expect a ground breaking offering from them right off the bat. Even for all the big players, until one of them comes out with some new tech and or material, it's either going to be a metal, hammer and firing pin or a polymer striker fired or all metal striker fired, single or double stack, Etc.
