Another Lay-away Gun.

I had that Remington 700, 22-250 on lay away. I picked it up a week and a half ago. They called and said the guy that brought the gun came in with a new bag of Winchester brass that goes with the gun and he will be bringing in a hundred or so once fired brass when he gets it all together.

Well any way they had a REALLY NICE Winchester model 70 in 223, bull barrel with a Tesco 6 x 24 power scope for $650.
Needless to say I have a down payment on that gun, besides that Thompson Center Encore with eight barrels at another pawn shop.$1,500.

Lay away is a wonderful thing.

22-250 is one of those rounds I have always found fascinating but have no experience with.
They look pretty impressive next to a .223.
There was a guy with one of those heavy Savage varmiter rifles, the ones with the really beautiful laminated stocks, in the lane next to me a few months ago just chewing out the bullseye at 200 yards. Kinda of a fudd though, was not impressed with my AR.

This one should do the same. It will be fun shooting this and finding the sweet load once I get a scope on it.
I.might put that 6x24 Tesco scope on the 223 over on the 22-250 and ok k up a 6x18 rot the 223.

I have a Remington 700 in 222 the I have had for over forty years. I have shot a few deer with it back there in New YORKISTAN forty years ago.

I also have a Ruger 77 in 22 hornet.
When I pick this 223 up and a decent scope to put it and the weather gets nice there will be several 22 caliber shooting range days working up loads.

I do need to get a AR but other guns come up.
