Looking for a trigger upgrade for S & W M&P shield trigger. Maybe Apex?
Yes, APEX. I installed the kit in my Shield 9MM 1.0 several years ago when I bought it (not long after the Shield first came out). The APEX trigger sear and Ultimate Striker Block are the 2 pieces that make the biggest difference in how the trigger feels but if I remember correctly the kit was close to the same price as buying the seat & USB separately.Looking for a trigger upgrade for S & W M&P shield trigger. Isn't that a little light for a defensive gun?I agree with the Apex. I have it in both my 9 and 40. It's about a 3lb pull.

Well, yeah that goes without saying. Whatever the weight is on the Shield Plus is I think it's appropriate. Its not especially light and takes a conscious effort to break but it's not especially heavy either.Maybe.........At least its better than the 10lb pull the NYPD uses.
IIRC from reading the spec sheet on the shield plus, the newly designed trigger breaks at around 5.25 lbs.Well, yeah that goes without saying. Yeah, I read that too. Mine feels heavier though, more like 6lbs. Hard to tell though, it's not like a Glock or P320 with a rolling break. It's a hard stop on the wall and then a clean, rigid break after that. Maybe it feels heavier because of that? I actually prefer the Glock style "mushy" rolling break. I think it's easier to send rapid follow-up shots that way.IIRC from reading the spec sheet on the shield plus, the newly designed trigger breaks at around 5.25 lbs.
