Turning the Barrel on the Center Stem, and drawing it forward, ejects ONLY the FIRED Cartridges.
The unfired Cartridges will not fall out.
The reason for this is simple: The Cylinder only moves forward the exact distance of an EMPTY CASING. An unfired cartridge is longer, and is retained.
Whether or not this is any advantage in a stressful situation, is unknown to me. Perhaps it is a "Solution in search of a Problem".
BUT, another feature is undeniably beneficial.
DIFFERENT LENGTH BARRRELS AND CYLINDERS ARE REPLACABLE IN NO MORE THAN TEN SECONDS.
You can twist and remove a short (or longer) barrel, and swap it for a different one in seconds.
This may be actually useful, not only for near vs distant fire, but for situations, all too common with Black Powder, where the Cylinder and Barrel are too fouled, and there is no time to clean.
I did own another MH at one time, very cool. Skull Crusher, with long Barrel - nice. BUT the S/N of the Barrel and Body did not match. This means only that an owner at one time decided a long barrel was cool, and ordered one.
Very similar to this one:
But the Seller did not disclose this obvious flaw, and I was pissed. I sold it immediately on GB, and lost about $200 (on a $1000 antique).
