Anyone have peep on a 7600?

Well I broke down and bought myself a new rifle for deer hunting. Long story short I had to part with my 30-06 I usually use and always wanted a remington 7600. Found myself a new satin walnut carbine in 30-06 and it is now in my safe. I was thinking peep sight it and was curious if anyone has because word is I may need to put a taller front sight if I do.

I believe buds still has more in stock or there are new and used on gunbroker. I wanted a carbine 06 right now and buds was the best price.

I always liked the clean lines of 7600 and the semi-auto version 742 Woodmaster.

The 742 is what I had, it was a good gun and served me well. My grandfather carved a stock on a marlin 336 35rem. For his neighbor way before I was born. My dad tried to buy it off that man's son to have it back in my family but he didn't feel right selling it, he said he would trade for my 742 so it had to go. I've always wanted a 7600 so it was a good excuse to buy it.

I came across many 742's while looking for the 7600. I have only fondled the 7600, have not shot yet but so far am very impressed. Well made, very clean and smooth feeling.

I purchased a few rifles from him at good prices he had a 7600 pump action for under $200 I'm still kicking my self for not buying it I had the same one many years ago when I find his number I'll post it .
