AR15 guns… Classifieds like armslist that don’t charge?

Hi everyone,
I have been out of the gun scene for a couple of years now and wanted to check back in on what NY compliant AR’s are going for, I was going to list a few on Armslist but see they charge now, I don’t mind paying the small fee but hate doing CC transactions online on sites like that. Are there any other options out there To list? I know there is this forum as well…..thanks very much. Appreciate any leads…..

From what I’ve seen, the market has gotten softer. Used run of the mill ARs can be found sub $700 if patient. I wouldn’t pay much more for a NY compliant one as it isn’t much cost to send it to FFL for transfer who can throw a mag lock on it.

Would depend on the manufacturer of course. Knights, DD, SOLGW, PWS, etc of course bring a premium

Lots of AKs in NC but they are about 1K to 1.3K. I have a couple but haven’t decided if I need to cut them loose.

I've had moderator privleges on Armslist since damn near its inception and the one thing that's done more to stop the scams is actually charging the three or four bucks to post there....My account is debited every month and while I don't buy a whole lot off there, I have made deals suffficient to warrant the charge, and I'm super suspicious and cautious.

That was actually one of the problems I’ve had in the past using that site. All the scams and BS emails from scammers……good to know!

99% of the scams are so easy to spot, I'm always astounded at how fall for them....boils down to the stupidity fueled greed; some rube thinks he's going to get a $5K gun from someone desperate to sell for a few hundred. The old rules are still the best: Collect On Delivery, if we can't meet at a local Gun Shop in person, I'm going to take it as a scam.
