So a SHTF event happens. A real one (Not a hurricane) where trucks cannot resupply supermarkets and aren't going to for the foreseeable future.

You have lots of guns. Do you arm your neighbor who isn't a gun guy?

Luckily my neighbors are mostly Amish.
They are pretty self reliant and armed already.

If you trust and value your neighbor, then help them how ever you can. If not, don't waste your time and consider them a problem. Act accordingly.

Situational, if there is a common threat it might be wise to form up into groups with leaders . If there is no immediate threat , I might keep things quiet.

They seem nice? But when the pickin's are slim, their good side might come out, until they're armed and know how much stuff you have that they don't.

And that's the end of any detente. Your stuff becomes "free stuff" as it usually does with commies, taken at gunpoint.

Never let anyone you don't trust personally and politically know what you have that you may need in a pinch.

PerSec and OpSec should be carved in stone.

MY neighbor to the north is a flaming fat ass liberal with no job and two barking dogs. The widow to my east is a great lady, I would invite her over for protection. My neighbors across the street (to the south) are POS, all of them, they can die off and I won't notice

I have a similar old lady next to me. She has cooked for me a bunch of times. That's the only person I would try and save.

In my neck of the woods everyone is armed as far as I know. How many of them are worth fighting shoulder to shoulder with, no idea. Probably best to sit back and let nature take it's course and see who is left.

My first reaction maybe no, but, the more armed around you, the better of holding off the hordes if they do come into my area. I guess much would depend on what exactly is happening.

How many do you actually trust though? I'm in that situation. There's a couple that I do know of but there's no way I'm going to trust them, the rest I haven't been in this location long enough to know them at all. Might be good initially to fight off the horde but then you get someone closer to you that maybe shouldn't be. Or you could just off them afterwords lol.

You'd have to feed them too though or else they'd use your own gun against you. It's a tough decision.

I guess my plan if I ever did that would be to hide my food and eat at night. Then I would hunt, forage, and look for food with them during the day.

Eventually though they'd find out I would gather. Again, it's a tough decision.

Um, none. I have been in my house for 18 years. I know the names of one set of neighbors. No one has moved in or out in the last 12 years. Yeah, I know none of them. I don't even wave to anybody.
