At least 118 officers have separated from the force in 2020, with the bulk leaving after the Seattle City Council embraced radical activists pushing to defund the police. Separations are all-inclusive, including resignations (including lateral-moves to other agencies) and retirements.

At least 118 Seattle police officers have left the department, the Jason Rantz Show on KTTH has confirmed. In September alone, 39 officers left the force when the SPD typically loses 5-7 in that month.

Over 5000 have left (2300) or are about to leave (2700-3000 estimated) the NYPD. My clock stops on 10/31 and I haven't worked since 6/24. So fucking awesome.

Or criminals. A relative of mine retired as a state trooper a couple of years ago. He told a story about how guys in his class were caught dealing drugs out of their car at the trooper academy 30 years ago. With all these openings to fill it's not hard to believe standards will be lowered if not thrown out altogether. Think any cartels are licking their chops at the opportunity to get some people inside?
