Those suckers were old, heavy as shit, hot and noisy too... So there's some merit if you have old fixtures around. But the mandating shit has to stop! LED incandescent bulb replacements suck! I tired so many until I found one type that mimicks a warm yellow bulb correctly!

I've replaced all of my in house bulbs with LEDs. I buy the "warm" light types and they mimic incandescent very well. And I recently put up a bunch of LED "fluorescent" types in my basement. Light is good color and as you say they do run way cooler. Thing is, saving 2.5W per bulb won't mean shit in $avings, especially with the hike in the cost of electricity. Some peeps won't get it though so maybe a few more votes for Joe Kamala.

Or the $12.00 light bulb that last no where near as long as they say they do. I’ve replaced countless LED lights over the past few years meanwhile they say the lightbulbs should last years. They are junk.

I don't think they would last 50,000 hours sitting new in the box.

My car gets great, legal gas mileage because it shuts off whenever it comes to a complete stop (absolutely hate that shit). I could probably squeeze a few more mpg out of it by only driving downhill or just towing it with my truck.

Another thing I didn't need the "check" for in the past. Other than those 3 way bulbs, I'd just pickup a set of light bulbs and be done with it back in the day...

All of these LED lights suck.

Especially the stock ones in cars... the fucking PWM flashing gives me headaches. Also the bluish/white tint makes it harder for me to see.

I prefer halogens.

Not that we needed nor wanted that fucktards input, but long ago I replaced every light fixture and/or bulb with LED lights: they don't last as long as I think they should, but they've gotten cheap enough that I order multiple replacements...I have 4' lights all over the Basement work shop and Garage as I need LOTS of Light to see what I'm screwing up.

Every now and then I get an email from National Grid with deals on LED bulbs and other "green" stuff. So a couple of years ago I bought two boxes of 6 ea. They look like the regular ol' incandescents, but they are LEDs. I don't remember how much I paid for them but do remember the price was pretty cheap. No burn outs so far. Maybe it's those fancy looking ones that are the problem?

We have a few of the same here, and the same results. Going on 4 yrs and still shining. A couple get left on from dusk till dawn, and sometimes a little beyond.

Some of the light fixtures in the house I bought last May have those decorative pointed bulbs with the clear glass and visible LED filaments. Those would do a semi flicker now and then and I thought it might be an electrical issue. But, I swapped out the "flicker'ers" with different type bulbs, and no more light shows. Like most everything, KISS and generally less problems.

I love the 4’ strips in my garage because they are on when I want them on with no flicker, are plastic and super bright where I needed two fluorescent I need one LED. I have an issue with Joe Biden telling what light bulbs I can buy, what car I can buy, what gas can I can buy, how much water I can use, what stove to buy, what furnace to buy and the list goes on. Soon he will be telling me what toilet paper I can use.

I hated the twisted fluorescent ones the most. I like the LED bulbs but I haven’t found them to be reliable enough to make the cost worth it. I also haven’t seen a difference in my electric bill. It’s funny isn’t it were supposed to be in charge but all the government does is steal, lie, and tell us we can’t do this or that what happened to we the people.
