Fear was the appropriate response there. That was a pretty big bear there. Got up that tree scary fast too. I wonder if the bear was curious or if it though there might be some snacks up there? You can see the guy was scared & his knees (camo) were shaking when the bear climbed up next to him. Towards the end of his vid, you clearly see he was scared. but then who wouldn't be.
I remember seeing that youtube a while back. Been carrying a handgun with my rifle ever since.
Didn't someone post a story a little while ago where some hiker unloaded a 9mm into a grizz and killed it?Luclily a black bear can be stopped with a .308. I don't think the same is true of grizzlies.
Really? I don't know. Must have been one hell of a lucky shot or two! I wouldn't feel safe in grizzly country with just a nine, but it is better than just a fist!Didn't someone post a story a little while ago where some hiker unloaded a 9mm into a grizz and killed it?
Me neither, I'd want a .44 mag for grizzlies.Really? I don't know. Must have been one hell of a lucky shot or two! I wouldn't feel safe in grizzly country with just a nine, but it is better than just a fist!
Yeah. At least. Maybe that .500 Darth has.Me neither, I'd want a .44 mag for grizzlies.
I would need a lot of practice to where I could shoot a .500 well enough for competent bear defense.Yeah. At least. Maybe that .500 Darth has.
