Budget cuts coming, but not for gun control activists

New Yorkers Against Gun Violence is getting a raise.

They are on track to receive $120,000 from the NYC Department of Youth & Community Development (same as last year) plus an extra $5000 courtesy of Councilman Chi Ossé.

This at a time when the City wants to cut spending on schools, parks, and veterans services.

It’s all about priorities.

They should get $0. It's a political organization. Why is our government dishing out money to a political organization?

That's like if we had a republican governor and we started throwing cash at the NRA or GOA. It'd still be unethical if not illegal to use public funds for that purpose.

"They" are in control, "we", are not. They WILL use "YOUR MONEY" however they want. And people will still sit on their lazy asses, an do nothing.

I think i may have finally convinced my wife that we need to get the fukk out of NY state. There is no fix to this sh!thole state. People to comfortable, to lazy to do anything to fix this sh!t. And i can`t do it alone.

They will continue to throw money at a problems that they really don't want solved as it detracts from their power base and the money that comes with it...this happens with lots of causes, be it cancer, violence with guns, illegal Drugs, hell even the American SPCA makes millions for its corporate, while the local ASPCA Shelter has to beg for a fucking can of cat food.
Unless and until the status quo can be replaced (come on Term Limits) we're going to continue this sort of shit and brother, it's been going on here a LONG time.

why isn't NRA and GOA and FPC and all of them not signing up for these funds

to play the game and get there 120,000K to submit a study too to end Gun Violence ??

If they get refused .. that could be one hell of a lawsuit .. biased ..
