Didn't have to be in Buffalo. Remember the New York Blizzard of 78? I had a 15 foot tall drift on the corner near my house. Best snow fort ever! My dad couldn't get home from the city for 2 days.

The 1993 blizzard, as many of them, impacted more than Syracuse. Not sure why it should be named after Syracuse....

I remember we had 19 snow days off of school in the 1976-77 school year and school ran until June 30th that year and we still didn't make all the days up.

'77-'78 was my freshman year in college. I was in southern NH. We had snow drifts that were higher than the first floor dorm windows. We went up to the third floor and jumped out into the drifts facing skyward and spread eagle. The compacting snow beneath you was like landing on a pillow.
Of course there was one chick who didn't understand the concept and figured jumping through the snow like an arrow would be better. Not fun watching her writhe in pain for hours until an emergency vehicle could reach us.

i had one of these in the 90's TNT 440 .. but had the 340 bombardier motor on it .. the 440 Koloar motor i had needed rings on one cyl ..

'93 I lived out in the hills in Nanticoke, didnt see a plow for a week. When we finally did it was a v plow and 980 Cat.
I worked for Wilson hospital, called in after my days off telling them there was no way I'd make it. Supervisor said the hospital has the national guard picking up doctors around town, they'd pick me up. I told her theres no way the guard will get to me. None of the towns around were clearing roads. Told me I'd be fired if I didnt show up. Oh well, it was time for a change anyway.

I was living in North Buff at the time. We had zero snow.
I know, I work north of the city they couldn't understand why I was calling off of work not being able to get there. Lol

The storm we had a few years ago in November was brutal. I was right in the middle of it. I easily got 6’ of snow over a few days. Cold and windy as hell too. I got stuck at hone for 5 days straight.
