Canada is attempting to ban all plastic that is related to food. This will be a huge issue at the grocery store for people. It is even including plastic imported into the country used to get food there to feed its citizens. It appears as of now this is or could be on hold but it seems there are people pushing for the USA to do the same.

Canada is banning single-use plastics, including grocery bags and straws

The ban will be on single-use plastics like checkout bags, cutlery, straws and food-service ware made from or containing plastics that are hard to recycle.

Costs much more and they can load less on a truck since the glass weighs more. Also probably a bit of a disruption at the factory to covert back to glass. All this says your product will cost more. I do like glass as well.
