It may look scary but its impractical as fuck. One magazine inst going to do much and even if you put a belt fed on it, then what? There are way too many moving/ complicated parts, slow, no concealment, not versatile enough for all terrains, too expensive to throw away.
The thing that has been proven to be a game changer however is quadcopter drones. Cheap, disposable, effective. If engineers can get the sound signature and radio interference issues mitigated it will continue to change the battlefield. Imagine a country with a real budget using cheap drones. Infantry hangs back while 2000 drones at a time swarm a known problem location to soften it up first.
