I just don't like Chinese Firearms like this.
Is there a chance one of these murdered a South Korean Soldier or American GI ?
Or even some innocent Chinese during the Cultural Revolution ?
Mebe not. Mebe I am way off.
And I don't wish to discourage other collectors.
But to me they have bad vibes - just like having a NAZI Gun in my home.

Sold the few I had but if I find a cheap bargain price one like finding the elusive unicorn I would grab another.
Well, I do have a dilemma.
If a firearm is really good looking, I hesitate to fire it. So a really minty Yugo SKS in my hands will be safe queen.
On the other hand, these Chinese SKS may fire well, but they are not easy on the eyes.
Yet you can fire many thousands of rounds thru a nice AR-15; even toss it in the trunk once in a while. It will still fire good - and LOOK GOOD.
So in my world you have historical firearms, that really do not appeal unless they are in aesthetic condition.
And modern weapons that work really well, that you can baby, or shoot the F out of. That can look good, or not.
But historical weapons that are beat to shit - I don't get them at all.
If you're looking for something prettty - Chineses SKS don't fit the bill.
If you're looking for something to shoot every day - Chineses SKS don't fit the bill.
If they were $100 - fine.
I never really "got" the beat up Mosin-Nagant Rifle fad, neither.
But if you like beat-up Chineses SKS, and beat-up Mosin Nagant Rifles, that's fine.
'Cause no one understands my affinity for old Whale Oil, neither.

I live in Suburban Mass and it's a hell of a long drive to any range at all. Let alone a nice Rifle Range.
So I very rarely shoot anything.
It's this lack of shooting opportunities that is killing the hobby, IMHO.
I've been called worse.
And I did have a RED Cell Phone once. It sure was purty...
Honestly, aesthetics sells everything - including firearms.
I really liked my Army-Issue M16.
These were designed to be as simple as possible.
Compare that to a modern AR-15
I much prefer the simple, no-nonsense look of the M16.
