Democrats are always pushing for some self-aggrandizing Bill that just re-words Laws already on the Books or adds penalties to capitol crimes, I mean after all, if you're going to commit Murder (which at least used to be punishable by Death) getting an addition sentence for wearing body armor makes as much sense as an illegal gun with a standard capacity magazine being prohibited.
They really don't want to "fix" the problems, just to give the appearance that they did something that'll make a difference.
