i say go the Boyd and Parker way .. .. The Boyd and Parker ambush was a minor military engagement in Groveland, New York on September 13, 1779, during the American Revolutionary War

when i was in boy scouts we used to hike with full packs and gear .. starting in town from the firehall to there and camp for the weekend .. a all uphill hill hike .. just guessing now i say a good 5 miles ..
