Additionally, an equitable structure for the adult-use market will be created by offering licensing opportunities and assistance to entrepreneurs in communities of color who have been disproportionately impacted by the war on drugs.
I put this in the same basket as abortion and gay marriage. I personally don't care what you do, but don't make it impact others, and the government should stay out of it. I have not smoked it in quite a few years, but can't say I would never do it again. If states/citizens think it should be legal, they should send their Rep's and Senators to Washington to have that fight there. Cuomo sees a potential revenue source he is going to fuck up big time, and also use it as a back door to remove peoples gun rights.
Isn't it already decriminalized here? I don't see most regular users having any interest in paying more(tax) for something they can already do. An occasional user, maybe they would rather purchase it at a gas station. If they do it with weed, they should legalize coke and everything else, and sell it in the same display with lottery tickets. Play to win.
Of course its all about the tax revenue.Just 2 yrs ago he said it was a gateway drug and would never be legalized here.Is there going to be a vote by the public to legalize as every other state has don e? Or will party tits just wave his emperors scepter? If it is legalized any tax benefit will be frittered away and not be able to support whatever beauracracy it creates.
Soma is a drug that is handed out for free to all the citizens of the World State. In small doses, soma makes people feel good. In large doses, it creates pleasant hallucinations and a sense of timelessness. The citizens of the World State are encouraged to take soma by “hypnopaedic” sayings like “A gram is better than a damn.” When they experience strong negative emotions, citizens take a soma “holiday” to distract them from the unpleasant feelings. John sees soma as a tool of social control. He says that taking soma makes the citizens of the World State “slaves.”
I have no problem with it being legal, and I have no plans to use it. My problem is the outrageous bureaucracy and taxation that will be applied. It's a product, it should be taxed at the same rate as a other normally taxed products (NOT like gasoline, cigarettes, etc). I've read that other states that have legalized it are now dealing with a huge black market because they've added such a burden to the growing/selling side, and taxed the snot out of the product.
This right here!! Also we do not know nor have we studied the long term effects.
Also many bring up the money it brings in but usually only brings in pennies on the dollar. Also he’s saying $300 million we are what 8 billion in the hole. That’s not much of a dent honestly.
Yep now they want sports betting. The screwed up good on the contract with the Indians and don’t get shit from it.
They are all assholes.
Weed and gambling are not the answer. Spending less is the answer. Weed and gambling will lead to issues and cost more in the long run.
Funniest shit is the legalized smoking now it’s bad and you shouldn’t do it, they legalized vaping and we had issues with kids and weed with that, we legalized gambling now run anti gambling and gambling help commercials. Do we see a trend?
LOL King Covid is going to be making a shit ton of revenue from the sale of POT. LOL
I figure he saw how much money Colorado is making from pot sales and said, "holy shit, a billion bucks, I need that kinda money, I'll legalize pot AND raise taxes, AND get federal money from Beijing Jo, I'll be a hero for finally having a balanced budget, and I won't even break a sweat"
First I thought only season ticket holders were invited and I doubt he’s a season ticket holder. He’s just a cocking sucking asshole.
Sad thing is he gave them to a health care worker and now he’s a big hero.
